  Yesterday, we took a last-minute trip to Spokane and I took the opportunity to visit this Nordstrom location to smell a perfume I’ve been eyeing. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too floral or rose-heavy for my liking. None of the stores in my hometown carry Parfums de Marly Delina Exclusif, so I wanted to test it before committing to it and having my fiancé get such an expensive perfume for me as a gift. At first, the service was good, but the experience soon left a bad impression and made me want to leave. I politely explained to the associate several times that I was from out of town and only wanted to simply smell this specific perfume before potentially purchasing it online Despite this, I felt pressured to make a purchase in-store. I was planning to have my fiancé buy it for me as a gift after we have our baby in 3 weeks, but I didn’t feel it was necessary to explain personal details just to smell a fragrance tester. The associate then asked me to wait and brought back another employee an older lady, who I believe was a manager. I was then questioned about where I planned to buy the perfume, why I wasn’t purchasing it from Nordstrom, and what the online shop I was eying had that they didn’t. I was even asked to show the product on the website I intended to use. The experience felt more like being at a pushy car dealership than shopping in a retail store. I don’t believe customers should be questioned or pressured by multiple employees just to smell a tester. Overall, this interaction left a negative impression and made me hesitant to returns.

  Very nice BIG and thinning out from when I last was there 20 yrs ago really thinner!!! 😀

  They didn't have almost no plus sizes. The sales lady was pushy and kept trying to go into the changing room with my granddaughter even though she told her over and over she wasn't comfortable. Was trying to sell her things she said she didn't like just to make a sale. I wasn't impressed at all. My y daughter got all her prom and dance dresses there in the past but my granddaughter felt very pressured to try things she didn't like. I thought the sales person was there to help you find what you would like not what as she would like .

  I brought in a pair of shoes I’d had for about 7 months that were starting to show some wear, and the rubber pad on the bottom had begun to peel off. Almost as soon as I walked into the store, John came over and helped me with the return and got me set up with a swap since I wanted a very similar pair (they just charge or credit the difference between the old and new pair, which in my case ended up being the same price). He clearly knew what he was doing and made the whole process quick and easy. The entire exchange took about 10 minutes. John’s great customer service and Nordstrom’s excellent return policy made this a really positive experience.
