    DSW has been my go to for shoes for some years now. Their prices and selection have worked well for me. I like Merrell shoes because of their firmer insole. And though DSW doesnt have a large selection of Merrell shoes, they have always had the perfect pair for me. They often have specials, and discounts, and they will place your new shoes in a waterproofing machine as well, which has been amazing for me, as I often take walks in the rain and with dry feet!

    Unacceptable Experience at DSW – Manager Should Be Held Accountable Buckle up, because this was one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I went into DSW to buy two pairs of shoes for my son. When I went to pay, the debit card reader clearly showed “approved” — and my bank showed the charge pending. Despite this, the cashier told me their register screen froze and refused to let me leave with the shoes. I even showed her my banking app as proof of payment. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the manager was rude, dismissive, and accused me of lying. She called their IT support and kept us waiting while my kids were getting scared and overwhelmed. After a long delay, the receipt finally printed — proving I had paid — yet the staff still treated me like a criminal. Let me be clear: I paid for my items, followed all the rules, and was still treated with hostility and disrespect. The issue was with their faulty POS system, not me. That manager's behavior was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. She needs to be held accountable — and honestly, fired — for how poorly she handled the situation. Get a new POS & a new manager. DSW, do better.
