Wild experience. I came in to pick up a gun that was already purchased and paid for, and even called ahead. There were three people working, all helping customers - I understood and waited my turn and I still ended up waiting over two hours. Meanwhile, staff were clocking to lunch no follow up and the manager was just walking around with zero sense of urgency. No one stepped in to help, check me out, or multitask. If Honestly surprised this place stays open—super inefficient and frustrating. I’ll definitely be going to another location. This place really needs to step it up.

I ordered a rifle. I received notice it was in, with no notice I needed to complete an education program before coming in with intent to pick it up (I did look for any notice of prerequisites; there was none). I drove an hour to the store, got there, and learned I had to complete a course first.
When I finally had everything done (background check and all that), I was informed there is a 10 business day waiting period. Now, I’m back to pickup my gun after that wait. I’ve now been waiting in front of the gun counter for 90 minutes. Though other people appear to be available, only one person is providing service, and he seems to be deliberately moving as slow as he possibly can. It doesn’t look like I’ll be served for another hour. Never again for Sportsman’s.

My son has worked hard and saved
Up his money to buy a bow. Many sales associates standing around hands in their pockets being lazy like most people and not willing to help. Obviously they know nothing about sales. Must have been a handful of customers in the store total. Finally the guy in the gun department asked if we needed help. I said yes with the bows. He said well are u just looking? Like no we want to buy one why doesn’t that even matter? do your job do what u get paid for. So tired of lazy people we should have just went to a local small business instead of a stupid retail store.

3 stars, because the employees are nice and helpful, when you can get one. Otherwise, be prepared for a wait for some items (like ammo, optics, etc) - I been in line for 1, almost 2 hours and just gave up. You would think, ok, I’ll just order the item (which I can see on the shelf, in stock) online and pick it up next day maybe. Nope, try 3. The prices are fine, but if they make it that I convenient to shop in store or even online, I might as well shop elsewhere online. An optic doesnt require a background check or specialized handling knowledge. Im not waiting in line for 2 hours.
