Rude and don’t seem to care at the shop and at the smart team when calling them. Some of the folks are kinda friendly in a way as long as you don’t have a complaint. Hidden fees when installing Charge wrong amounts (always more, never less) and to fix you have to waste hours calling smart start to fix the issue. Constantly increasing costs whenever they want and charge shop fee on top of what you’re already paying to smart start. That fee increased double the initial cost in less than a year. Installation not professional at all, my steering wheel makes a clunking sound because they left the box hanging and it hits the steering shaft. The equipment is not in good condition and they knowingly install them anyways, when an issue arises they blame it on your car or on you for not taking care of the equipment but they know they installed damaged devices. If you get a false error they will assume it’s your fault even though the device it’s internally damaged from the beginning. You will have to pay for recalibration and resetting even if it wasn’t your fault. When calling the number for customer service they make you wait long times and when finally respond, they switch you to other persons or just hang up on you without resolving. The whole system seems to redirect you like a funnel and you always end up speaking with someone who is going to take your payment for the next months of service. Not helpful at all. When they overcharge you, they don’t refund your money, they preposterously tell you it will be used as a credit for the next months. Unfortunately this type of people just take advantage of the situation we end up by being responsible trying to comply with dmv or court conditions. It’s a big scam.

I can NEVER SEEM TO GET THRU TO ANYONE! It’s crucial that I can reach someone if my car is going to lock me out before I get off work but the wait time in the call always says that the estimated wait time is more than 10 minutes but no one even answers after 40 minutes waiting They have a chat feature that no one responds to either- The customer service is so much better than other companies that I’ve dealt with but I need to actually reach them first! It’s just ridiculous. Rant over.

The auto shop that installed the Ignition Interlock in my car is now out of business. Thank you 🙏 Jesus!🙏 My car started successfully exactly three times after the ignition Interlock device installation service. It hasn't worked in about three years since. I'll have to tow my car to a service center for repairs. 2012 Toyota Prius V Prime
