- GTGeoff Thomas6 days ago1.0Stay far far away from JC Penny. Bought a suit jacket and pants at JC Penny on February 24th, wore it one day on February 25th and one of the buttons came off. Tried to return it on February 26th. The tags were removed but I had all the tags and the receipt and they refused to take it back for a refund because it's been worn. This is complete BS! Clearly the days of customer service here are gone. Start far far from JC Penny!

These are the reason people prefer to buy in Amazon and not in person shops. Such a poor customer experience!

The gentlemen in the jewelry dept told me rudely that I need the receipt and the warranty info isn't enough. I told him it was a gift. He said I need to verify it was purchased here acting like I stole it. I then had my sister send me the receipt and it took him 5 mine to verify the barcode on the receipt in his system. Like bro, it has your address right on it. I told him I've never dealt with this type of thing at Fred Meyers. He states well were not them. The experience was just awful. I receive a gift and have to go through hoops just to get helped. Learn to have some customer service my dude. He says sorry later but that doesn't fix how I feel about the jewelry dept now
