A small goodwill but generally well stocked but now they seem to be putting anything that might be good onto the online auction site. It is probably a corporate directive based on profit and greed but you would think that management might save some more things for their loyal walk in customers. They dont even have a case anymore for collectibles or anything they might put a higher price on. No more designer labels, better jewelry, sunglasses, antiques, purses, wallets, beauty products, the secret list of things they dont sell anymore is probably extensive. The days of finding a treasure are over. They have hired better eyes to make sure the good donations get sorted out and sent away. It is very obvious to long time shoppers. People still donate great stuff but who gets it? There is now a chain of people deciding where it gets spirited off to. Great for goodwill corporate but did the employees get raises when all shirts got priced to $9.99 -$12.99 ? Nope! Sure they give people minimum wage jobs but is it a dream job? Do employees ever feel the need to spirit away items or run their own resale business on the side, yep, everyday. I wont name names but every store has someone doing a side hustle. Treat your employees better and you could have better employees, not desperate and willing to break rules just to survive. It is nice that they employ developmentally challenged at donations, they follow rules better. Watch for the slick guy at donations and he will for sure be sorting on the side.
