I've stopped shopping here since whoever sets the prices seems to have lost the plot. Pricing clothing items like they are a boutique 2nd hand store rather than a charity shop. Last time I was there I picked up some basic IKEA dinner plates. They were priced at $2. $2 for a stack of 4 plates isn't bad even if they were a mismatched set, so I decided to purchase them. When I went to ring up, I was charged $2 per plate! Looked it up later and IKEA sells these for $1 each brand new. It's unfortunate because I loved finding good deals on clothes here.

I have been going to this Goodwill for years but the pricing is getting absolutely out of control. For instance, most pairs of used children's shoes were around 4.99 last year, last week when I went they were all 7.99-12.99, many of them were cat & jack (target brand) used childrens shoes for 9.99, that is how much they cost full price new. The real kicker was waiting in an incredibly long line (Monday, IFYKYK) and I had found a small frayed knit children's bag with no price tag in a addition to many other items I purchased. The manager/pricer came over and actually pulled out her phone and did a reverse google image search to try and find the value of the bag and then quoted a way higher amount than what would be appropriate for a frayed and FREE TO GOODWILL children's small knit backpack. This kind of tactic is really disappointing and I know it's to detract resellers, but come on. I cannot continue supporting this company in good conscience and the Bellingham Goodwill has especially high pricing, even though all of the good "finds" are pulled for online auction. They are a thrift grift for sure.

Found two of the same exact dress, one was marked $70 and the other $20. Brought it to an associate thinking it must be a mistake but they told me it's because one was new and one was used, then quoted me the retail price to try to justify it (please remember they get everything for FREE.) Then I went to try on the dresses, and realized the $20 one had a giant... brown stain on the inside. They don't even wash the clothes anymore. So basically, you're paying a 250% markup just to not have literal ... on your clothes. I knew Goodwill was awful, but I had no idea it was this bad. This is a whole new low, I will never be going back. This is not a true charity.

I like this store overall, but some of the employees were obviously sick when I went in today. That means the management doesn’t provide enough PTO for sick employees to stay home and recover. It also means potentially active viruses on the items you purchase here. Tough look, Goodwill. Update in response to management: Thanks for replying, but just to clarify — this wasn’t an “impression.” The employee was visibly sick and still working the floor. That only happens when staff don’t feel able to stay home without consequences. Saying you’ll “review it with the team” puts the responsibility on the wrong person. This is a management-level policy issue, not an employee issue.
