Richard the coin historian rocked my world this morning! Thanks, Richard! Woe did you know Lady Liberty used to wear a spiked war bonnet? Or a Sacagawea coin that came out of a Cheerios box could be a $5k coin (mine weren’t- dang it!). Richard has an encyclopedic memory and vast knowledge, and educated me on all this and more! I also learned of a Spanish conquistador on one of my coins - he was made emporer “just” long enough to get his bust on a coin, then ousted by the people! This place takes you back in time … and takes the time. They don’t fault you if your stash is ordinary. Most of my late father’s collection was, but Richard took the time to count wheat pennies and buy them. We found a few gems though- and I’m now a couple hundred bucks richer. Part Two: On a previous visit my host (forget his name but he had dark hair and a Hawaiian shirt) was cool too- he weighed my gold and explained everything as well- it’s a hot gold seller’s market so get to this place now! Anyhoo. Thanks again guys. Take care!

I finally made the decision to sell some gold, silver, and a couple rings while the prices of precious metals are so high. I went to Bellevue Rare Coins (Bellevue, WA store), because I had positive shopping experiences years ago at their old location in Bellevue. I had a little anxiety not knowing what they were interested in buying and how much they would offer. During my visit, they offered to purchase everything I had, at an extremely fair price. I was even offered a bit of a premium on more rare items or items of higher quality. I was so pleased with my experience, I went home and selected a few more items and returned the next day to sell more. I brought in some pre-1964 silver coins expecting to just get the silver value. The associate took the time to look up the value of some of the coins and offered me more than silver value. I was truly impressed with the professionalism of both associates I worked with, as well as the store’s business practices. Thank you for a great experience.

Working with Bellevue Rare Coins was so easy. The representative I worked with was so nice and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the basis for the various items worth, answered all my questions, and never made me feel embarrassed because something I brought in didn't have a trade-in value. He gave me a very fair amount for what I brought in that did qualify and it was a great experience overall.

Arrived early for a 'scheduled' appointment but was seen when I arrived, which allowed more time for evaluation of my items. Staff member was patient and professional and did smirk when some items were of no value. When he saw I was tampering with a coin I wanted to sell, he kindly asked if I would prefer to keep it after all and then quietly adjusted the balance.

They had an Omega on Ebay I won.. They did not disclose in the pics it had scuffs on the metal/faceplate. The front of the original box was detached, which they hid, it was dirty and never mentioned the date changing tool was missing.. I’ll probably keep it and pay out of my own pocket to make it justifiable. They were not willing to pay for the polishing of the damage which they never disclosed, the missing parts or offer any type of fair agreement.. I get the vibe they are street hustlers solely thirsty for your $. I wouldn’t recommend them to any person from any background looking for a higher-end item. My experience feels like a total rip-off. Tread lightly. I am a photographer btw and I know they used a macro lens or a higher apeture to make the damage out of focus as you can see in the first pic. (its theirs) Judge for yourself. They used a high end camera and lighting to entice me, knowing full well there was damage to a $3,200 watch. Bad juju. Buyer BEWARE! Look at the photos.. Fairly obvious, the level of deceptive optics, imo. Good luck!
