  I have been a customer with LL Bean for over 30 years now and in that time, I have had a pleasant in store and online experience with every level of the sales staff, except for the Store Manager and the Assistant manager at the Williston Vermont Store. The store manager or Jijo as her name is, allows the results of a personal encounter with me to alter the stores return policy. I also find the Assistant store manager David, to be a little intimidating, as he appears to follow suite with Jijo's treatment of me. I attempted to return an item that was the wrong size and Jijo refused to honor the Store's return policy and insisted nothing could be returned if it had first been washed. I finally had to call Shreveport Maine, for the second time, and have a company employee named Judy honor my return which was well within the year timeline. Judy from corporate was also very baffled why Jijo refused to honor the return. I wonder if anyone else in Vermont has had a similar experience. I have not been back to the Williston Vermont Store for about three months because I don't feel that I can have a positive in-store experience as long as David and Jijo are on the management team in the Williston Vermont Store.

  I came to purchase some new winter gear. I had an idea of what I wanted, but I was not totally sure, so I asked for help. Kaitlyn did an excellent job—she was patient and provided lots of detail about product offerings, including her own personal experiences with them. Other representatives we encountered were friendly as well. The store is also clean, well-organized, and has high-quality items (and is based in New England!)
