  I’m writing regarding a recent experience at your Potomac Mills Mall location. While walking past the fragrance area, a store associate addressed me aloud with a term I do not identify with. This was not part of a conversation and appeared to be based on my appearance. Regardless of intent, I found this presumptive and unprofessional. Customers should not be labeled or addressed based on assumptions drawn from how they are dressed. For clarity, I prefer to be addressed as “sir" or "king" regardless of how I’m dressed. I wear a variety of footwear, including heeled boots, for personal reasons that include physical conditioning and leg-strength training which kinesiology medical studies conclude, and footwear choices should not invite commentary or labeling. Additionally, historically, kings and noblemen wore tall boots and heeled footwear, but during the period often referred to by historians as the Great Male Renunciation, men’s fashion became more restrained and high heels largely disappeared from mainstream menswear. Fashion choices alone should never be used to characterize or label a customer in a retail setting. After this incident, I did not feel comfortable being near this associate, which is why I wanted to raise the concern constructively. I visit this location frequently and generally enjoy the store's mirrors. In my opinion, she seems like the type of person who listens to Hollywood artists like Bad Bunny, whose music contains dark subliminal messages. This is probably why she presumptuously assumed my style is like Lil Nas X’s, when I’m only wearing high-heel boots because men invented them in 11th-century Persia, and kinesiology studies prove that walking in them increases leg muscle strength. She showed her true colors by revealing to me that she doesn’t understand the fashion industry and is brainwashed by mainstream Hollyweirdo media to be throwing out those silly slang innuendo terms. I do have a recording of the interaction available if needed and in this recording, her tone of voice sounded like she was attempting to troll me, in my honest opinion, although my intent is simply to encourage neutral, respectful customer interactions going forward. Lastly, the manager lied to me stating that he can't grant discounts but a quick Google search states otherwise. Thank you for your time and consideration.

  This JCPenney is always a great shopping experience. The store is clean and organize with a great selection. The deals are good and the employees are consistently friendly and helpful. I always leave feeling satisfied with both the service and the savings. Highly recommend this location!

  JC Penny, at Potomac Mills is a very nice store. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a clean, well stocked store it is the store for you.
