  You know I am giving my shopping experience today 03/28/2026 two stars. I had no problem in finding what I was looking for. However, I get to the register then everything went downhill. The cashier insisted that I use my JC Penney credit card. She continued with how much I could save and etc. I decided okay why not. She told me since I had not used my card for a while it was inactive. She was pressuring me to enter my information to activate it. I chose not too I was like forget it. I had planned to pay cash anyway.!She even said she could pay the bill for me??? I could not understand or believe how this cashier was using all the tactics. Is this the way JC Penney train the cashier’s. It was not a pleasant experience at all. I felt as if I was being scammed. Especially with her attitude of urgency……Really????

  I went to the JC Penney salon. A DISAPPOINTMENT. They have no idea how to do a blow-dry. Besides, I paid $40 just for asking a question, and I didn't even tell them I wanted it done at that moment. Ms. Davide is a scammer. When I only went to ask the price, she made me wash my hair, and when they were about to proceed with the drying, they asked me if I wanted it done. I'm not complaining. Besides, they do it very, very badly.

  I went to JCPenney to get my hair done in the beauty department and had a color and style service done and my hair is beautiful! I am truly happy with this amazing job on my highlights, deep treatment and flat iron!

  I used to love shopping at this location, but this place and the JcPenney brand has gone downhill. The Lynnhaven Mall location is falling apart: beat and cracked walls, beat up dressing rooms, as well as the filthy-nasty ladies restroom. This location used to have a great selection of items, but not anymore. Hardly anything now, with items (clothes, shoes, accessories) spread thinly to give it a fuller appearance. The quality of JCP has become bad, especially with sizing. I love St. John's Bay tops, but the XXL size now fits like a L. I have a feeling the JCPenney chain is not long for this world.
