Prior to composing this complaint/review concerning the Edibles franchise store situated at 2728 N Mall Dr, VA Beach, VA 23452, I sought to gain insight into the corporate business model, product quality assurance, and, most importantly, the customer service principles. This was prompted by the manager's Tasha, stating that the local store does not adhere to the corporate office's policies because they had their own. As a fellow business owner, I have utilized Edibles and other online Vendors to thank my valued clients for considering me as their choice of business. However, my experience with this particular location has been the worst experience for product quality, freshness, and customer service. During the Sunday call with my client, the manager was so rude and nasty, I informed her that the call was being recorded. Afterwhich, she settled down and refused to acknowledge previous statements made. Not to mention the lack of integrity as the conversation changed during this three-way call with the recipient. -------- I placed the online order on August 8, 2025, and it was delivered on August 9, 2025. I contacted the store to confirm delivery and establish a professional relationship for future thank you gifts. Unfortunately, the client informed me that the presentation was sloppy, the melons were mushy, and the strawberries were moldy. I incorrectly mentioned grapes, but the recipient clarified and confirmed the quality of the fruit during a follow-up call on Sunday. I asked if I could send pics, and the manager said no. They didn't have an email address for me to send anything to. But, she requested the product back to be replaced. I told the manager, Tasha, that the clients ate what they could and threw the rest away. The host didn't taste test the fruit before serving it. The quality of the fruit was identified when the guest began to eat and complain about it. I was only asking for a portion of the 137.79 spent, if not all.
