- BMBrenda MartinezJul 2, 20251.0I asked my cashier if there would be a discount for one of the items i wanted to purchase (box was torn and i was purchasing for a birthday gift and I didn’t have time to drive an hour to purchase else where). Figured why not ask, the worse they could say is no which would be fine. My cashier looks at the cashier next to her for an answer and before either of them could even say anything this lady next to me, also checking out starts saying how no discount would be allowed because it has nothing to do with the product and so on. Which I feel like the box a product comes in definitely has something to do with the product. She was just very rude. She ended up being the manager. I just thought it was very unprofessional and rude the way she jumped into the conversation not stating who she was and how she replied to my question which I was not asking her. She could have just said something like “hi, im the manager unfortunately we can’t discount for the box being torn” etc. and I would have totally been okay with it. But I just thought it was some random person that was putting her two cents into my conversation until i asked before i left if she was the manager or something. She also seemed to carry on a conversation with the workers there just to wait until I left to talk crap about me. I visit every summer and everyone is always kind so I was shocked whenever that happened.
