Horrible customer experience. We bought underwear in size small. We opened one pair to try on (over our clothes) and opened the other box only to check the quality. When we went to return them, we were told they could not be accepted simply because the packages had been opened.
The manager also told us it was “disgusting” for someone to wear underwear and return it. Of course we wouldn’t wear them directly—like any reasonable customer, we tried them on over clothing. And any customer who buys underwear will wash them before wearing them anyway.
The manager also questioned us, asking how it was possible that we “didn’t know our underwear size.” What kind of attitude is that? Of course sizes differ between countries and brands—this is completely normal. Customers try on items precisely because sizing varies, and any professional staff member should know this.
The attitude and refusal to help were unacceptable. We left the items there and still didn’t receive a refund. What brand treats its customers this way? I would never buy from Tommy again after this experience.
The manager was extremely impolite throughout the entire interaction. Instead of helping us, he made unnecessary comments and treated us as if we were doing something wrong, which only made the experience even more frustrating and unprofessional.

Unacceptable and Discriminatory Experience at Tommy Hilfiger – Leesburg Premium Outlet
On August 6, 2025, at 12 PM, I had a distressing experience at the Tommy Hilfiger store in Leesburg Premium Outlet (241 Fort Evans Rd NE, Ste 147, Leesburg, VA 20176). A clerk relentlessly pressured my group and physically blocked our path while browsing clothes, which was intimidating. The manager dismissed my complaint, saying, “What do you want me to do with it?” and suggesting a “miscommunication” tied to my English accent, which felt discriminatory. Despite escalating to corporate and the store manager, I’ve received no investigation details, no formal apology, and only vague offers for phone calls or a shopping experience. I caution others about this store until Tommy Hilfiger ensures a respectful environment. No customer should feel harassed or singled out.

We had a terrible experience at this store. After picking out clothes, we found the fitting room doors were locked. My wife went to ask for help, and after a few minutes someone came to open them. As we both tried to enter, the staff member, a gentleman, told us only one person was allowed, so I stepped out. That was inconvenient, but what was worse was his attitude. When I asked why the fitting rooms were locked, he said it was because customers steal clothes, implying that I might do the same. It was an unpleasant and insulting comment.
Then, two ladies walked up and he let both of them enter together, saying it was okay because they were mother and daughter. This felt discriminatory and unfair, especially after how he treated us. His initial comment about customers stealing already left a bad taste, but seeing him apply “rules” selectively was the final straw.
When I asked for his name so I could formally complain, he refused to provide it and said he wouldn’t do that. We had picked out several items to buy on a Monday afternoon, but decided to leave everything and walk out. This store clearly lacks proper training and respect for customers. I will never shop here again, and I do not recommend anyone else to do so after this kind of treatment. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.
I wish he had given me his name so I didn’t have to post his picture here.
