- LCLaryssa CooganJan 18, 20261.0I bought some shoes here and the worker told me I had 60 days to return them, she didn't mention unworn. I wore them to an indoor event for like an hour and they hurt my feet really bad. I went back to return them and the cashier was unbelievably rude to me. She asked if I had worn them and she said "well that's your fault, you should have worn them inside your house first to test them out." There was absolutely no reason to speak to me like that, I was not rude to her at all. All I did was politely ask if I could return them and she immediately had an attitude and was aggressive. I asked for the manager who originally sold them to me. The manager explained she couldn't take them back, but that's fine because she was nice about it. I used to love DSW, but I'm never coming here again based on how I was treated by that one cashier.

I went to return them 4 days later and they refused to let me return them and did everything short of calling me a liar. I bought the synthetic Berkinstocks because I try not to get my others wet. I have worn Berkinstocks for about 30 years. I wasn’t sure if I would like the synthetic pair so I wore them IN MY HOME only. They rubbed my toe and caused a blister so I took them back to the store. They insisted I had worn them outside which was not true. I am stuck with these shoes that I can’t wear. They do not “break in” like the other ones. So two things I learned DO NOT shop at DSW and stick to natural leather.
