  Went there to pick up a prepaid online order only to discover that one of the items was missing from the shipment. While the lady who helped me was nice, unfortunately the "manager" with long red hair and septum ring was extremely rude. He had a condescending attitude and tried to dismiss the issue by saying he cannot help and that I should go home and call customer service to get it reshipped. When I asked if customer service is supposed to just take my word that I never received the item, he simply shrugged, said he didn't know and walked away. I felt like I was discriminated against. I ended up working with the nice lady to get a refund. Never shopping at this location again.

  Just wanted to jump on here to shoutout Karis. Shopping for jeans is always tough, but I like Madewell for several reasons; mainly because they have a range of fits and they offer free hemming (I'm short and curvy). I went on a Friday morning to try and avoid the crowds, was nervous thinking I wouldn't find anything. Karis started a fitting room for me and was so, so patient with me. I think I tried every style on and was there for a few hours. She checked in on me multiple times, making me feel so comfortable. Even when it got busy and I could hear other people outside the dressing room asking her questions, she'd come back with another size or style or recommendation. I usually avoid shopping in store for jeans because I don't always have the best luck and I sometimes feel like a nuisance to staff, but she was great. I really appreciate all her help and patience! The store itself is nice and clean. I was doing other shopping that day, so I parked in a lot across the street and it was super easy.

  I was at the Madewell at Mosaic trying to return jeans that I had purchased from the Tysons Corner location, but I didn't realize they were a final sale item. The salesperson at Mosaic told me there was a sign indicating the final sale policy. I politely explained that there had been no such sign at the Tysons location and added that I wished the sales associates there had informed me. He suggested that I go to Tysons to attempt the return, and I agreed, saying, 'That's fine, and thank you.' Our entire interaction had been courteous up to that point. However, as he handed the jeans back, I smiled and said in a playful manner, 'Aww, I wish the sales clerk over at Tysons had told me.' He then became a little curt and repeated, 'Well, the sign says it,' even though I had clearly told him there was no sign at the Tysons store. I subsequently called the Tysons Madewell, and they acknowledged the mistake and told me they would accept the return. I didn't even pressure him to process the return. Why can't some people just be polite and not have a sarcastic undertone toward a nice customer?
