You have to cancel and re-do the transaction if you don’t want to become a member (the system automatically requests your phone number at check out); I then had to tell the cashier 4-5 times that I do NOT want to become a member (as I almost never need to shop there). I get that they need to make money, but please listen to your customers when they tell you no, rather than continuing to guilt-trip them about it! With experiences like that, it’s no wonder so many people almost exclusively shop for clothes online now rather than in-person.
