I had to do 12 months with the interlock. I chose this place due to it being cheaper in the long run. The technician was a great guy to work with. He told you up front what you can and can't do. These are the rules, and there are no shortcuts. I had an issue after hours, and I called and left a message. Kevin called me back and explained I had to let a sensor dry due to the automatic car wash. He wasn't mad or hateful. He was professional. When 12 months came around, I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to get it removed. I contacted asap and my lawyer. I told Kevin I was having issues with this. He called me later to make an appointment to have it removed. He went out of his way to contact whomever to get the ball rolling. I am proud to be one of his customers who have made it through without incident. God has blessed me with having the privilege of meeting someone who cared about others.

As the mother to a daughter who needed this service, I can say without a doubt, Kevin is someone who's very professional and truly cares about his clients. She must have called Kevin 20 times with questions. Every single time, he was kind and reassuring. We bypassed other places closer to home due to his reputation, and am so happy we did. Even if it's out of your way, if you ever need this service, you won't regret it. It's already stressful going through something like this. Empathy seems so rare these days, so having someone who makes you feel like he's in your corner is a HUGE deal. Thank you Kevin for everything you've done to make things easier on us!

Frequently Asked Questions About RoadGuard Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

When you start your vehicle, you have to blow into a mouthpiece that’s connected to the ignition interlock device, sometimes called an in-car breathalyzer. The interlock device will then measure your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) and automatically determine whether your BrAC is low enough to allow the car to start. Any test you take, whether pass or fail, will be reported to your monitoring authority.

How much does an ignition interlock device cost?

Ignition interlock device costs vary because each state has different pricing regulations and device technology requirements. But in general, you can expect to pay between $50 and $150 to install the interlock device depending on vehicle type. After the initial interlock installation, you are required to pay a monthly rental or lease fee. On average, the cost to rent or lease an interlock device is between $50 and $150 per month. Call us at 1-833-545-0368 for pricing in your area.
