I took some amethysts in to be mounted in a ring. When I called for the estimate Mary got very defensive and demanded I pick up my stones. She did not want my business and said I was “pushy”. I apologized for upsetting her. I think she must be struggling with something

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this jewelry store. The gold bracelet I brought in to be resized originally weighed 3.2 grams. When it was returned to me, it weighed 2.7 grams, including the gold that had been removed. I returned to the store to address the discrepancy. When I spoke with Mary, the interaction was extremely unprofessional. During our discussion, she became hostile and at one point snapped, asking me, “Well, what do you want?” I calmly outlined possible solutions, including receiving the missing gold, exchanging for an item of equal value, or being reimbursed. Without further discussion, she immediately wrote me a check while making inappropriate remarks such as “It’s always about the money.” She also stated she never wanted to do business with me again and mocked me in front of other customers by sarcastically laughing when I explained that she was welcome to resell it. This entire exchange took place in front of other customers, and I found the treatment not only unprofessional but disrespectful. I did not engage further, accepted the check and bracelet, and left the store. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

I brought both my wedding ring and my husband’s here for resizing, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The sizing was inaccurate on both rings, and neither piece was properly polished or finished when returned. Huge tracks of scratching are visible on the band where they worked on it. For something as important and sentimental as wedding bands, I expected much better care and craftsmanship. I would not recommend Tuel Jewelers for any resizing or repair work based on this experience.
