  I bought my first entry level luxury watch, a Breitling Superocean, in 2004 or 2005 at Tourneau Galleria in Houston. Fast forward a few years and I've bought other watches from Tourneau when I lived in Chicago, and now here in the DMV. Hana and more recently Dexter have been super nice and kind, procuring several watches I was looking for, including Blancpain, Girard-Perregeaux, IWC, Jaeger LeCoultre, and a really cool Tag Heuer Monaco, as well as Rolex watches. Beyond that, they are super kind, and even though I do not remember the names of the store director and some of the other managers, they always offer water, coffee and good conversation about watches. I wish they were a little bit closer to Reston/Herndon but I enjoy visiting every time I can.

  I recently visited Bucherer to pick up my Rolex Submariner Date, and the service I received from the sales associate, George, was unlike anything I’ve experienced at other stores. He is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about watches, and he’s someone you can have a genuinely great conversation with. He made the entire process of waiting for a watch like this feel worthwhile. I had been trying to get a Submariner for quite some time without success, but after meeting George and explaining what I was looking for and why, the process became very smooth. I truly appreciated the experience and definitely plan to continue doing business here.

  Pretentious without the level of service of other boutiques under the same banner. Have purchased multiple pieces for my wife and myself from other Bucherer boutiques. This interaction made me decide to take future business elsewhere. Staff are not welcoming or friendly. There is a level of condescension, which is not appropriate for this caliber of store. This location could learn a thing or two from the New York locations. They push the used pieces heavily. They make it clear. It’s all about money and not about relationships anymore and at that point, i’ll be spending my money elsewhere. I expect the standard form reply encouraging me to reach out. It’s not genuine and just meant to show that they respond to the negative reviews, but they don’t care about you here. Notice the reply to all the negative reviews is basically the same. It’s a generic and meaningless “apology” with a referral to a web link to submit a form. For this caliber of product you’ve lost your edge and my business. Auto generated, not even service recovery. This may work for timex, but not for this level of product.

  It has been over two years since I first spoke with Kevin about purchasing a Rolex. At the beginning, he advised me to register my interest. He also politely implied that without purchasing other brands or jewelry, the wait could be very long — possibly years. However, he suggested that if I built some purchase history with jewelry and other watches, the wait for the specific Rolex I wanted might not be very long. Based on that understanding, I spent several tens of thousands of dollars in the store. After about three months, I followed up with Kevin and was told the watch had not arrived yet. I later went into the store to speak with him directly. During that conversation, he explained that he has many clients who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and those clients are more likely to receive the watches they want within a few months. At that point, I told him I did not feel it made sense for me to continue purchasing items I did not truly want just to improve my chances of getting a watch. After that discussion, I left. Over the next one or two months, I followed up again, and each time I was told nothing was available and that I would be contacted if something came in. It has now been over two years, and I have never received any follow-up. I understand that Rolex allocation can be competitive, and I respect that long-term or high-spending clients may receive priority. However, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency and consistent communication. The initial impression given to me did not ultimately align with the outcome, which left me feeling misled. If you are considering registering your interest here, just be aware that allocation appears to be strongly tied to very high spending history, and follow-up communication may not always be consistent.

  I had the absolute best experience at Bucherer Pentagon City thanks to Lindsey and Jason. From the moment I walked in, they were incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable. I originally came in for a specific watch, but they completely opened my eyes to so many other watchmakers and what makes each brand unique. Not only was it fascinating to learn about different brands and movements, but their passion for watchmaking was truly inspiring — you can really feel how much they love what they do. They took the time to educate me without ever being pushy, and made the entire experience feel personal and exciting. I don’t know if I’d call myself a watch collector, but over the last few years I’ve been curating a very particular six-piece collection, and this was my fourth. I can honestly say the team at Bucherer truly reignited my excitement and passion for the journey — they made me genuinely excited to start thinking about what my next piece will be. Pentagon City is a far drive from where I live, but once you’re there, you completely forget about it because of their exceptional service and the overall quality of the experience. Lindsey and Jason turned what could have been a simple purchase into something truly memorable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my next watch. Highly recommend!
