I cannot recommend Richard at Bucherer in Pentagon City Mall highly enough. Richard is not just a knowledgeable client advisor; he is a true enthusiast for timepieces. His passion shines through in every interaction, and he has a remarkable ability to share his expertise in a way that feels personal and engaging.
Recently, Richard assisted me in acquiring a watch I had long desired. The experience felt meaningful, as he made it clear that this was more than just a sale—it marked a significant moment in my life. His precision and deep knowledge helped me find the perfect piece, while he also introduced me to various other timepieces, expanding my appreciation for the art of watchmaking and the many prestigious brands available.
Every visit to Bucherer is a pleasure, thanks to Richard and the friendly, attentive staff. He has truly helped me grow my collection, and his detail-oriented approach is akin to that of a fine watchmaker. For anyone looking for a remarkable watch-buying experience, Richard is the person to see!
I had an excellent customer service experience at Bucherer in Pentagon City, thanks to Miguel. His patience, genuinely customer-focused approach, and deep expertise—particularly with Oris and Tudor—made the visit both enjoyable and informative. His guidance ultimately led to an order I hadn’t planned on, which speaks volumes about the trust he built rather than any sales pressure.
This experience is very likely the beginning of a long-term relationship with the store. Highly recommend both Miguel and this location.

Hands down one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had.
I walked into this Bucherer location fully intending to purchase a Tudor Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue. No one greeted me. No acknowledgment whatsoever. When I finally approached a sales associate in a gray suit, he barely moved, pointed at another associate, and said “thats kevin, he’ll help you”.
The second associate walked toward me without even a basic greeting or handshake. When I clearly stated I was looking to buy the Tudor Black Bay 54 lagoon blue, I was told that they dont have it instock and they “don’t sell the watch to everybody” and that they’d need to take my personal details to see if I “qualify” to buy it.
A Tudor. Not a rare Rolex. Not a limited Patek.
That comment was enough. I thanked the guy and walked out of the store immediately. No argument, no discussion. I went to another dealer (won’t name them here), and purchased the exact same watch within the next hour, with respect, professionalism, and zero attitude.
Bucherer didn’t just lose my business today, they lost it forever. They will never get my business, nor the business of my friends, family, or anyone I know. Luxury retail is about service and respect, not arrogance and gatekeeping.
If this is how Bucherer treats genuine buyers, I strongly suggest taking your money elsewhere.
Over the past 20 years, I have visited many stores and worked with a variety of advisors worldwide. Richard at Bucherer in Pentagon City stands head and shoulders above all. He is a one-of-a-kind advisor and horology connoisseur; a true gem. He will help acquire your dream piece (or pieces) and keep you informed along the way. He recently assisted me in acquiring a piece that I’ve had my eyes on for a few years. However, when working with Richard, it is not just about getting the watch you already know you want – but about being introduced to other watches/brands that you may not be as familiar with. He puts in a lot of time and effort in this and because of him I found my love for Panerai, IWC Performance Chronographs, and (neo-)vintage Rolexes.
I highly recommend Richard for all your watch and jewelry needs – so please drop by for a visit. The entire staff at this location is also friendly and welcoming, so you will feel at home right away. As a side note, make sure you check out the pre-owned section – they have a great selection from a variety of brands.

This is a review of my experience with Marianna Houston at Bucherer 1988 Pentagon City.
What started out as an expedition to find a birthday present for my husband ended up with me making a wonderful new friend.
My husband is a serious watch devotee and has been wishing for a particular model that I wanted to get him for a very special birthday coming up. I happened upon Bucherer 1888, formerly known as Tourneau-a renowned NYC luxury watch store for decades, in the Fashion Center at Pentagon City, where I had the pleasure of meeting the Marianna Houston, luxury manager.
We immediately hit it off as Marianna is as personable as can be, and I spent more time enjoying our conversation than actual watch shopping. She is so much fun to talk to and she knows her stuff! Her knowledge and taste in watches and fine jewelry is exquisite as she is a collector herself.
In fact, unbeknownst to me, she later helped my husband pick out an anniversary gift for me, the most spectacular diamond earrings, which were a complete surprise and are both day to day functional and special event dazzling. My husband said that he could not have picked them out without Marianna's great eye for design and quality. She knew exactly the kind of style that would appeal to me and wouldn't let him pick out the wrong piece.
Her customers are special to her, and we even exchanged holiday gifts as well as an unexpected hello in the grocery store. She is just a great person!
Luxury watches and fine jewelry are an investment, you want to deal with a person you can trust, and you could find no finer advisor and friend than Marianna Houston. She's worth the trip even if you can find the same watches in other stores and other malls (but not my earrings, I love them!).
