  I used to love American Eagle but don’t think I will shop here anymore. The service is terrible both in store and calling their customer service. I was hung up on by both. I went into the South Towne location looking for pants. I found some I loved but needed a different size that they didn’t have in store (long inseam). I ordered my pants for a Halloween costume but when they arrived they were the wrong color. After calling and trying to resolve the issue, they never took accountability for their mistake instead kept insinuating that I ordered the wrong pants even though I took it to the counter to order the correct size and have them shipped. When I tried to explain my situation and needing the pants sooner rather than later, they informed me I would have to pay to expedite the shipping. The least thing AE could do is cover shipping plus expediting for the inconvenience and to attempt to resolve their mistake. Very poor customer service.

  I wanted a pair of jeans they had IN STORE in my size. They weren’t on the floor, they were in a box. Because she wasn’t sure which box, rather than providing exceptional customer service (I don’t know why I expected this) and looking for them she said they could order them or see if another location has them. 🤯🤯🤯. When I said “you have them here but you want me to order them and wait a week?” She said well I don’t know what box theyre in. There was NOT a lot of boxes. She pointed at them. Would have taken 5 minutes. Man I hate this place.

  The team their is great. They helped me get a dressing room and they even have a little button in the dressing room to call an associate over to help you get a size or new color or whatever, without having you have to go out of the dressing room. I was happy finding a pair of pants size 29 34 because im so skinny and tall these are impossible to find. but they were even 60% off which was even better. And the girl Abby, (who checked me out ;) was super nice, friendly, helpful, and very cute. No doubt I will go back for more!!! Because they have a 15% off coupon on the receipt. Very happy with my visit.

  I called American eagle at this location to ask if I can put two sweatshirts on hold for a few days. I even explained to Ellen that I can call every single day to put them on hold, risking my items to be gone.( I understand they are put back on table every morning and customers are more than welcome to grab them.) The employee I spoke with(Ellen ) was extremely frustrated. She told me that it is " extra work" for the employees and began to tell me that she would but she didn't want to have this conversation again with me in an extremely rude tone!! What the heck? I have NEVER had this kind of treatment at any location. I love American eagle and am so sad I will have to start shopping at a differerent location.
