Founded in Galesburg, Illinois, in 1911, Blick Art Materials (DickBlick.com) is the largest and oldest provider of art supplies in the United States with more than 65 retail stores nationwide. Its products cater to the full spectrum of artists — from the youngest child ready to scribble with his or her first crayon to well-known, gallery-represented professionals. The company’s extensive product selection, competitive prices, and superior customer service make Blick the best choice for art educators, students, artists, architects, designers, hobbyists or anyone requiring quality art materials for work or pleasure. A long-time advocate of art education in the U.S., Blick also provides support to scholastic, collegiate, and professional art shows, both financially and through a variety of materials that emphasize the benefits of art education. Blick also supports the communities in which it does business by sponsoring in-store events, local schools, art leagues, and community groups across the country.

“I was informed, before I purchase an item, that students receive a 10% discount at this store, but when I made my purchase, the discount was never applied. I’m unsure whether this was an oversight or a misunderstanding, but it was disappointing. I hope the store can clarify its student discount policy to avoid confusion in the future.

So disappointed & honestly disgusted at corporate’s decision. Gage is the most knowledgeable & helpful employee, he has the answer to every question & then some. I recently came in & had a question as well as just wanting to discuss art the way Gage & I do & instead got to meet the new manager. She pulled out her phone & googled what I had asked her, after looking around for help. I couldve done that. Welp there goes my cherished art chit chat. I dont understand why BLICK would employ someone who doesn’t know even the basics let alone a MANAGER who DOESNT DO ART, especially when Gage is already there doing an OUTSTANDING job. I can unfortunately already feel the different, less inviting, more corporate vibe. Too bad theres only one Blick in UT. My friends, colleagues & I always appreciate you, Gage, & were sorry.

Im not from here originally but do live here now. I love that i have an art supply store near my house. Doi I wish it was bigger, yes but I also love the mom/pop feel. I hate when I want to shop and employees hover asking if I need help...they dont do that here which I also love. So thank you and thank you especially to the young lady who checked me out...didnt get her name but she told me she studied abroad. Pro tip: park in the back.
Was just in there last night (again) and im still very happy to have found it. No one is bothering you, they let you shop no matter how long it takes to decide and for me, that's important. But, I had a question about colored pencils that staff couldn't answer. Do you know they actually googled for me! Sure I could have done the same but the fact that the employee did, was nice. They care about the work, the products and consumers. Love that.

Great selection of high quality art supplies. Sign up for an account and they will price match with their website (the prices and sales are not always the same)
