This place should not exist. People donate all of this!!! So some people can afford these donations at a better price. These guys price gouge everything. I donated a bin of toys not long ago here and I was gutted this morning when they open to see my toys being sold for $10 each and many action figures bundled in a bag and priced for $90!!! Who the heck is managing this. This is a scam. I donated so that other people can afford it at better cheap price but then these guys go a lock my toys behind a glass and price it high. I’ll never donate to these places ever again! These guys prices are Walmart prices people. They act like they are a pawn shop it’s disgusting!

We donated some glassware, plates, basic kitchen essentials and took extra care packing it so it would survive. During the drop off an employee who was fully aware glass was being dropped off walked over and dumped a large tote out onto our things and I listened to some of our items shatter. Absolutely unacceptable. This was not an accident this was blatant disrespect not only to me but to his employer. The most frustrating thing is I could have saved time and gas by going to the dump instead. I would consider dropping donations off elsewhere.

The adage one person's trash is another individual's treasure. I needed something old, vintage, something extraordinary (I wasn't quite sure what it would be in my mind) I just knew it would be something classic, classy, yesterday once more type of style and item, something that has aged that would immediately catch my eyes. The item(s) would be for a booth display set up, whether it would be old-used grid wall items, just anything that flags my attention. No grid wall panels the day I visited, my hope disappeared into thin air. While I was there anyways, took time to look at everything carefully not to miss what could be 'treasure'. Something did catch my eyes, an old teal patina color over sized large metal framed clock. To my dismay, it was hidden in between the other paintings and old-used picture frames. I had to give it a good luck and slid it outward. Beauty filled my judgments. It was "like' or love at first look. The price tag is still in place in the backside. $159.99 now priced at $15. I couldn't believe my luck. This clock may have been released 43015 as I took it that wasn't the year it was sold at the stores. You really never know what you will find at a thrifty store. Some cool things. Some unique finds. Some junk. And something one of a kind or extraordinary treasures. As I was randomly looking through the aisles in the back area where D. I. stores bigger size and all size items; I stomped on a wooden crate, just what I was looking for to use for displaying inventory , it's the exactly size Im searching for and in hope I would find one and did. Home Depot approx $18 new crate box. Hobby Lobby $12.99 with tax $15 newbie. I paid $3 for the rectangle white wicker tray and $3.00 for the wood crate stand = $6.00. Really can't beat it. For $6, I got what I was looking for at a significant discount in new condition, not chipped-worn or looked used. A happy treasurer. I also spotted a small-mid sized nice unscratched wood steps stool for $8. I wasn't sure where I would put it or would have a use for it and passed. Might return and get it, if it's still there. You don’t need to go to an attic to look, it could be here ir at another location. Donation items are hit and a miss. Items are ever changing round the hours. They get items round the clock from donations. I have donated many items at this SJ location. The other day, I was a customer. Recycle. Repurpose.

If anyone is coming for kids winter clothes — I’ll save you some effort. Of the boy’s shirts, only about 2% of what is out is long sleeved. They do have one rack of jackets, but of the 6 racks of “t-shirts” there are only a few items I could find that were long sleeved, and I bought the four I did find. My least favorite thing about this location is that the baby clothes newborn through 4T are all together on the same racks and not sorted by size. Almost useless when it takes so much time to even find the right size when you have an impatient toddler in the cart. The only reason I’m coming back is because items mostly remain $2-3 for kids clothes as opposed to Savers which now has $5-9 as the norm.
