I've been to this Sportsmans location multiple times in past month trying to purchase ammo boxes with no luck. Normally this Sportsmans location is a good go to store for this type of merchandise but lately they haven't kept up with the reorder requirements. I told the counter help about the issue at the first of January but here it is mid February and their stock is worse. Unfortunately for them Al's and Scheels are now my go to stores. Update 02-20-2026: Was in the area a few weeks later so I decided to stop in to see if they decided to do some ordering, NOPE. Still the same.

I don’t know what it is, but every time I come to a sportsman’s warehouse, everybody here is super nice except for the people who work in guns. I’m at the Ogden location off of Riverdale rd. I walked up and I cracked a joke to the three employees standing there not helping anyone and I said “oh my gosh, I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen a Sportsmans warehouse without any customers at the counter”. I got dirty. Looks from all three employees. So then I asked who has the most experience when it comes to reloading and they pointed to one guy I don’t know his name. I wish I got it and he said yeah sure depends on what you wanna do. The real issue is, he was not very friendly at all actually kind of a jerk. On top of that I politely asked him to look up a reloader for me to see which of their stores might have in stock. He said yeah Midvale hasn’t stock I said cool. Could you call them and ask them to put her on hold for me and I’ll head over there right now? His response was no you can call him yourself. That is the third horrible response. I’ve received from employees at Sportsmans warehouse and this just drew a line in the sand for me. I’m done doing business with these guys and I’ll stick to going to Scheels. I have never been treated so poorly at any gun shop I’ve ever walked into other than sportsman‘s warehouse. The last issue I had was very, very similar about the employee was a lot ruder than this guy to the point where the manager ended up, calling me directly about the issue with the employee. I don’t know if it’s in the employee handbook to just be as rude and cold as he possibly can be but if that’s what it is then give all these guys a raise

**Update. It’s now 3 weeks later, and a month and 2 days since I’ve place the order. Still no card. I called yesterday and was told the gift card team was not available and promised a phone call at 9:00. So I make myself available for that call. No phone for 3 hours, so I called. I was told all they can do is issue me a refund. They told me the gift card still may come which sounded like I would be able to use it still. Sounded like they were super apologetic about it and if it comes, I got to keep the gift card for the inconvenienc! I had a feeling to confirm that and she said, they most likely will wipe the card and it’ll have a zero balance. SO WHY YELL ME I CAN KEEP THE GIFT CARD OF THERES NOTHING ON IT?! I told her it’s wild all you guys are going to do is refund my card. I spent money on a whole gift basket with this as a part of it and wasn’t able to give the intended gift. You causes me additional time and money for something I didn’t get to give. She told me she’d send me a 20% off coupon to my email. Never thought I’d have to give off Karen vibes in a Google review, but come on! Your customer service sucks. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY! Original Review I bought a physical gift card to be shipped for Christmas. I purchased on the 16th and was told in my confirmation the estimated delivery would be the 23rd. It is now the 27th and I still have no gift card. I called the support number and was told it takes about two weeks to ship and they don’t have shipping information once it gets to USPS! I wish I would have just gone to your store. I thought it would be an easy purchase during an already hectic holiday season. It shouldn’t take two weeks to ship a gift card from any Sportsman’s Warehouse! You gave inaccurate shipping information which led me to purchase a gift for Christmas. Which they had nothing to open from me when the time came. Thank you, Sportmans Warehouse!

I went there 12/13/25 to purchase a rifle and I called in to verify gun was in stock at store since online told me it was. They verified it was. When I got there I talked to a salesman at the gun counter to purchase gun and he said he couldn't find it on the shelf. I asked him if he could check in the back and he said they only have guns on the shelf that they have in stock. So... I went to the next aisle so i wouldn't get upset. and I heard him talking to another co worker stating that he had the gun hidden for a friend. I decided to call the store again about the gun while I was still at the store and asked for someone at the gun counter besides the 2 salesman that knew about the gun, and talked to said individual and he was able to verify that the gun was in stock, again. He was able to get the gun for me, but hopefully they took care of the other 2 dishonest salesman.

I don't write too many negative reviews but my husband waited 30 minutes at the gun counter at Sportsman Warehouse with 1 person helping a huge line. Just when i was done 2 others came out of the backroom laughing & joking around. Then i went up the front to pay, ONLY 1 CASHIER with a big line of frustrated customers!!! Really? Where is management? The 2 customers in front of me set their purchases down & left. We won't be back!
