I love sportsman’s however I drove an hour to a store where an employee said they had what I was looking for, upon arriving they did not actually have it. Guy I asked was super apologetic and nice about it though.

Don't use the sportsmans credit card bread financial are thieves. Sportsmans should stop doing business with them it reflects poorly on their business.
I had the Sportsman's Warehouse card for 5 years. I paid the total balance off to avoid interest, and online it said my balance was zero. Then they added an $87.00 interest charge. I called them and explained I had paid the card off; they said the interest was from two months ago. Complete nonsense! I immediately closed the card. This bank conducts shady business, and I'd stay away from them. Sportsman's and other retailers should stay away too because their name is tied to these dishonest practices.

Your employee made me feel like an idiot for asking a basic question. Absolutely unacceptable.
I went to sporsmans warehouse on march 7th around 9:30 shortly after I just bought an Iver Johnson .410 O/U and walked in to buy some shells. I grabbed two boxes, Federal 2.5 inch and Winchester Super-X 3 inch and asked the older guy at the counter what the difference was between the two. A completely reasonable question that any first time .410 owner would ask.
You know what he said? He pointed at the boxes and goes "that one's two inch, that one's three inch." Then just stared at me like I crawled out from under a rock.
His own coworker wasn't even looking in his direction when he said it. The second those words came out of his mouth, that coworker's head snapped over at him fast, like a reflex. Not a slow glance, an immediate "did you seriously just say that" reaction. That moment said everything. When your own coworker whips his head around that fast because of something YOU said to a customer, you don't need any more evidence that something went wrong. That wasn't just awkward, that was his colleague silently saying "I can't believe you just treated a customer that way."
Here's what that useless old man SHOULD have said: The 2.5 inch Federal shells hold 1/2 oz of shot, lighter load, less recoil, better for smaller birds at close range. The 3 inch Winchester Super-X holds 11/16 oz of shot, more pellets, more range, better pattern density for upland game like grouse. THAT is the difference. It took me 30 seconds to look it up after the fact since the "pros" clearly didn't know. Maybe try it sometime.
The younger guy next to him at least asked me what I was hunting and pointed me toward the right shell. He's the only reason this isn't a one sentence review that just says "never going back."
If you're going to put someone on the gun counter, maybe make sure they actually want to help customers instead of making them feel stupid for asking reasonable questions. Some of us are new to certain firearms. That's literally why we're asking. Do better.
Quick update. Id like to point out that their one star reviews are for the gun counter. I wonder if the owner who responds to all these complaints is seeing the pattern yet 🤔

Really bummed tonight! I called ahead to ask about the shockwave and see if it was available, and said I’d be right over. I stood at the counter while they helped everyone - people who even showed up after me. I guess tax season makes this time of year busier, and maybe they were scared with only twenty minutes left of legal sales, but I have a FFL number and my checks come back as fast as the site refreshes, so if they mentioned timing as an issue I could have reassured them the Sportsman’s in Saratoga did a full sale in fifteen minutes. Anyways, the girl at the front was very nice and understood why I had to rush to another store and had to leave all the targets, ammo and clothes I planned on purchasing - but I’d rather give another store my money.
