I’ve bought thousands of dollars worth of optics rifles shot guns fish finders fishing lures clothes but I was turned down to get warranty work on a new browning rifle that had issues with the composite stock. It was browning that advised me to take it there. Guess where I’m going to do business from now on. It won’t be cabelas

I can't help myself. Whenever I go into Cabela's, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I love the decorations and atmosphere. I love the aquarium and the indoor stream. And even if I'm not ready to make a purchase, I find it rewarding to browse and check out new products, to get ideas and make plans for my next outdoors gear purchase. If I had to think of something that is missing, I'd say destination EV charging would be an excellent addition that might draw me in more frequently. Besides that, Cabela's has everything I could want there.

Cabela’s advertises itself as an authorized Benchmade dealer and LifeSharp Service Center, with signs posted in the store. However, when I brought in my Benchmade knife for LifeSharp service, no one knew how to handle it. The knife counter sent me to Customer Service, and they had never even heard of the program. I recommend buying Benchmade knives from other local retailers that actually support the services they advertise.

We love cabelas, but it feels like there just isn't the expertise in store to help (even hard to find someone). Also, it's not the best place for camping or backpacking. Seems their upstairs areas are thin. Wish they'd do more with camping and less with all the craft/decoration and games, etc. I also would love to see a deeper selection of snow boots with more Solomon options, etc. Lots of cheaper brand items in the camping area.

I generally like to go to Cabelas, fun place to be and lots of quality items for the price. However, I would not recommend doing store pickup if you think it will save you time. Bought an item they said was "limited stock" online as a Christmas gift to a relative. Rather than search the whole store for the item, I bought it online and had them tell me when it was ready for pickup thinking I would stop by after work to pick it up and save me some time. Well I get off work, no notification yet that it was ready after 3 hours (when I ordered the item, it said if ordered by 4 pm, the item would be ready that day for pickup). Decided to drive their anyways and see if they had the item ready and forgot to notify me. If they didn't have it fulfilled yet, I would just go grab the item since I'm there anyways. They don't have it ready, I got find the item and go to tell customer service desk that I have it and I did their job for them and to mark the order as "completed" or "fulfilled" since I showed them I made the request and had paid for it already. I was told they can't do that. I would have to either wait for the order to be fulfilled or buy the one I had in hand and wait until the other had been fulfilled and then "abandon pickup" for it to be cancelled and go back onto my card. I was told it would not be fulfilled until the next day (which the website said I would have it same day). I decided to buy the item I had in store so I didn't have to come back again. About 2 hours later, I got notified that my order was ready for pickup. Extremely frustrating and not a good way to save time. Should be easy to cancel someone's order and not have to jump through so many hoops.
