- SAShannon AyadiJun 21, 20261.0On Saturday June 20th, 2026 around 4 or 4:30pm, my mother and I went to DSW to look for shoes for my mother. We were not there even a few minutes and suddenly there was a worker that kept staring at us and clearly we were being watched. The worker was a short, stocky woman with long blonde hair. My mother and I aren't dressed the fanciest, maybe we look poor, but that's not a good enough reason to watch us like that. I wonder what a 73 year old woman with her 46 year old daughter planned on stealing? I worked retail for many years when I was younger so I know the routine for profiling. Maybe the worker should have asked us if we needed help finding something since that's standard procedure for bothering someone they think could steal. My mother bought some expensive shoes so her and I looking poor and white trash didnt stop us from buying.
