  False advertising. Purchased a bike online for pickup. It was not advertised as "used" or "demo", but when I came to the store it was dirty and clearly had been ridden off-road. I showed an employee the website listing and I was given a shoulder shrug. He explained it had been ridden for a while by an employee but offered no solution or explanation why it listed online as new. He also couldn't tell me how much it had been ridden and if it was in need of service. Despite being dirty, it only had a couple small scratches so I decided to still purchase it. I had driven 2 hours to get there after all. Then I was told they'd get it registered. I thought it would be through the manufacturer, but no, it's giving all your info to them so they can "handle" sending on your info to others. I asked if it was required in order to purchase the bike and was told yes. Then I looked at it and was able to opt-out. That definitely should've been mentioned. Then I was told to sign a liability release stating I had received the bike when I had not since it was behind the counter and they were trying to take the pedals off. They said I was good to go after never scanning the barcode in my pickup email or checking my ID. I asked for a receipt and was told they would print one for me back at customer service. Went over there and they gave me a copy of the liability release form, not a receipt. I again asked for an actual receipt and a new person explained that I would have to use the email with the pickup code to get a receipt. Not sure why it wasn't possible to just get one printed or just emailed to me but I already had spent way longer in there than I had planned. The main guy who helped me, I don't remember his name, I should say was trying to be nice and helpful, he just seemed a bit clueless and I wasn't trying to make a scene or anything. This was my first time going to Scheels and based on all of this I won't be going back.

  Shouldn't have to wait 25 minutes to get help with a pair of shoes when half of the other employees in the shoe department are dicking off on the other side of the shoe department doing nothing. Yeah not buying shoes here.
