I went to the cosmetics section to purchase some products, but finding no one available to assist me, I looked around and noticed several staff members gathered together in the distance.
When I requested assistance, a staff member approached to show me the item I was looking for; however, she displayed a complete lack of sincerity and gave off an unwelcoming vibe.
Moreover, the moment the transaction was complete, she simply vanished.
Upon returning home and checking the receipt, I saw that her name was Jaya D.
I never want to have an experience like this again.

I went to Nordstrom in Tukwila to try and get a couple of perfume samples. I’ve never asked for samples before, but a friend suggested it, so I decided to give it a try.
When I approached the Initio perfume section, I asked an associate if I could get a few samples. She looked me up and down and said, “If they have any juice, then yes—if not, then no.” The way she said it felt dismissive and made me uncomfortable.
On top of that, none of the bottles seemed to have any “juice,” and the only one I found that did had a broken sprayer. The entire perfume section looked neglected and poorly maintained.
I left feeling disappointed and honestly a bit humiliated. Nordstrom, I expected much better—both in customer service and overall presentation. Please do better.

We have always shopped at Nordstrom for special occasions and been satisfied with product and service. Our recent trip to the Southcenter store was the same great experience. Welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable staff, and good choices especially for formal wear. When we returned home, we ordered online even more, taking advantage of locating items to pick up later at Southcenter. We’ll definitely return for future needs.
