  My experience with LifeSafer and their local installation center (Blow-In) was extremely disappointing. First, I called to schedule an appointment and was placed on hold for nearly 45 minutes just to find an available time. They scheduled me for 9:00 AM two days later. I had to rearrange work schedule and projects to make sure I arrived on time. During the call, they insisted that I provide my credit card information before they would schedule the appointment. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable giving my card over the phone and asked if I could pay when I arrived. They refused and told me the card was only needed to place a $0.01 verification charge on file. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early. The location looked abandoned, was in a very rundown area, and honestly didn’t even look like a legitimate business. Someone outside told me they wouldn’t be opening until later. I waited until 9:00 AM, and no one showed up. After spending another 15–20 minutes trying to reach customer service, someone finally answered and told me that, according to their system, my appointment was actually at 11:30 AM, not 9:00 AM. They simply asked if I could wait another two and a half hours, even though I had already rearranged my entire workday based on the appointment they gave me. To make matters worse, I checked my credit card and, instead of the $0.01 verification charge they promised, I found a charge of about $300, before I had even received any service. When I asked about it, I was told that it wasn’t their problem because the appointment had been scheduled through the call center. Many people are required to use ignition interlock services because of legal requirements, not because they have a choice. That makes it even more important for companies like this to provide accurate scheduling, clear communication, and professional customer service. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. I would not recommend this installation center based on my experience.

  Matt is a professional through and through. He is knowledgeable in his trade and he is nonjudgmental. Requiring an interlock can be embarrassing but Matt treats everyone with respect. I had previously used Smart Start and they destroyed the computer system in my vehicle. Matt had me in and out quickly and my car’s system is working fine. Thanks Matt!!

  Matt was absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful. When I got my device installed I went through the LifeSafer website and called that number. The lady was kind and scheduled my appointment but I ended up calling Matt directly to find out he wouldn’t be in that day and so he squeezed me in a day before. He was quick and went over everything and made sure I knew what I needed to know and sent me on my way. He was quick to respond with any questions I had during the time I needed it and quick to get me in when I finally could get it removed. Removal was a breeze and he wasn’t rude or arrogant during that process like others have commented. Would highly recommend his location in Tacoma! (but would also recommend not getting a DUI.)
