NEVER shopping at this store again. The whole Spokane store looks like it's missing half its inventory. Bought a gun online through the website and received an email to set up an appointment for the background check. No problems. Get to the store, find no one working at the registers or customer service, so I wonder the store, heading toward the gun area. Wait for service and then tell the guy that my order is in. We do all the things -- we takes my DL and gets the order. Then he asks me for my WA firearms safety certificate. What? Oh, it turns out they need this before doing a background check, but that was NOT in the email telling me to make an appt. so I can get the background check completed. Long story short -- I am told to go home and take the course and come back. At these gas prices? No. No other suggestions, so I waste 30 minutes in the parking lot getting the certificate. Finally, I go back in and we do the background check details. it's all done. ONE HOUR. And then he has the nerve to make me pay $18 for the background check; no offer of a discount or even free for the mixup. Nothing. This was supposedly the "on-duty" store manager. You have been warned!

As the author of The Most Crucial Knots to Know and The Motivated Amateur’s Guide to Winter Camping, I spend a lot of time in outdoor stores, and Sportsman’s Warehouse is a strong location in North Spokane. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I also pay attention to layout and function, and this store is easy to move through. When you walk in, the cash registers are on the left, footwear is on the right, and archery and hunting gear runs along the far right wall. If you turn left, you move into the fishing and angling section. The selection is solid across categories. The fishing area is well stocked, and the mounted blue sailfish on the wall adds some character. They carry kayaks, a large selection of Lodge cast-iron cookware, and an impressive range of meat processing gear for hunting. The camp stove section stands out with a wide variety of options, along with hunting-focused sleeping bags and general hiking and outdoor equipment. It is a well-organized store with a broad inventory that supports everything from casual camping to more serious outdoor use.

Trying to rip people off with a bait and switch SMH! Price of the item on the shelf is not the price of the item at the checkout. Lost a long time customer!
