  Pleasant park with beautiful vistas of the falls in Spokane. We visited on a cool and rainy morning, so it was probably quieter than normal. Lots of potential!

  Definitely a nice mall. Store options are pretty generic but still a fun place to go every now and then.

  River Park Square is the centerpiece shopping mall in downtown Spokane. The moment I entered from the main entrance, the crisscrossing escalators immediately caught my attention. The whole arrangement looks like something M. C. Escher might have designed, and it gives the center a surprisingly dramatic first impression. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series novels, I travel extensively researching the real places that inspire my stories. River Park Square is one of those downtown destinations that combines shopping, dining, and interesting architecture in one central location. I’ve visited several stores here, including the Apple Store, Lululemon, and Nordstrom, and I’ve also eaten at the sushi restaurant toward the back. The mall is clean, well maintained, easy to navigate, and has convenient public restrooms. During the Christmas season, the enormous tree in the center makes the entire space feel especially festive. As a romance novelist, I also appreciate places where people naturally meet, shop, share meals, and enjoy the energy of the city. River Park Square feels like the commercial heart of downtown Spokane. Parking is located beneath the mall in a multilevel garage, which is convenient, although it can be expensive. After visiting the Apple Store and Lululemon and then staying for dinner, my parking charge came to $15. Street parking can be another option, but that is metered as well.

  River Park Square is the heart of downtown Spokane, offering an elegant collection of shops, restaurants, and one of the area's best movie theaters on the top floor. It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, whether you're shopping, catching a film, or simply enjoying the energy of downtown. A beautiful and welcoming destination for both locals and visitors.
