  Went with a friend to get some pants tailored. Waited for 20 minutes only to realize there wasn’t a tailor on the way after waiting in the dressing area. When the tailor did finally arrive we were met with her insulting comment “These are your father’s pants?” Very displeased and will not be using Nordstrom’s for alterations moving forward.

  I can’t even express how wonderful Freedom (Beauty Dept Manager) and Tyrie were to me. I went in to buy gift cards for the HEART program (homeless education and resource team) at Spokane Public Schools. They are supporting many families affected by the recent fires. When I told Freedom what I was doing I was met with a loving and oh so generous offer. They put together FOUR bags of beauty items and charged me nothing!! Tyrie and Freedom are the epitome of kind, compassionate, empathetic people. Each bag had a very kind message to whomever receives it. Many students left home that day with just the clothes they were wearing, no makeup, no perfume and with school starting these bags will be so so appreciated. Thank you Nordstrom!! Especially Thank You to Freedom for facilitating this gift. I’ve been a Nordy’s shopper but never as committed as I am now to support them. They are fabulous community supporter’s.   Bought a suit here, on recommendation that customer service at this store is excellent. Couldn't have been more wrong. The card I signed up for there (they get you with very convincing discounts and rewards) is royally painful to pay off. It can't be done online, as the sign-in portal is broken and refuses sign-ins. The "24/7" help number had me on hold for 45 minutes, and told me to go into the store to pay. When I was there, the cashier couldn't tell me how much was due on my card and told me I have to login online to see the balance. Go figure. Then, I was able to find my receipts, only to learn that they had charged me for "complimentary" alterations! The pants I bought were unhemmed, completely unfinished, and the saleswoman assured me that finishing the pants would come at no additional charge. They charged me, and gave me a "note" worth the money they charged on alterations. This note can't be applied to the charge for alterations, and must be applied to another Nordstrom purchase.... this is the sort of low level, nickel-and-dime scam that you'd expect from a street vendor, or one of the homeless wandering about the mall at this location. But from a "high-end" and "respectable" store like this one, I'm appalled. I will never spent money here again and I encourage everyone who reads this not to give this store your business. They're so far behind even one star service it's laughable.

  I'm used to shopping at Nordstrom in Portland, Oregon, where I've always had access to a wonderful assortment of collections and courteous staff. My inlaws are visiting me in Spokane, WA and expressed how they wanted a new bra. I recommended Nordstrom and went. When we arrived we were met by two employees. One was nice enough and the other, and older lady, was quite rude. The older lady said she was off in 30 minutes and walked away. The first lady, with pink eyebrows, said she had to get someone and it would take a while. I walked around the store and came back, thinking my MIL would be finishing up and she hadn't even been helped!! I was very, very upset and frankly surprised at the rudeness of the staff. As an aside: I barely found anything I was interested at this location. In Portland last Spring I found a great many temptations. I absolutely will not be back to this location and do not recommend it at all.
