  As the author of The Most Crucial Knots to Know and The Motivated Amateur’s Guide to Winter Camping, I spend a lot of time in outdoor stores, and Sportsman’s Warehouse is an excellent location. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I also pay attention to how these spaces are laid out and used, and this store is easy to navigate. There is plenty of parking, and the store opens up nicely as soon as you walk in. The camping department is immediately to the right, while the archery and firearms sections are in the back. Boots and footwear are on the left-hand side, which makes it simple to move through the main areas. The layout is bright, open, and well organized. It is easy to browse or get what you need quickly without feeling crowded. The fishing section in the far back right is especially strong, with a large selection that covers both fly fishing and traditional setups. They also carry a few kayaks and a wide range of outdoor gear for hunting, camping, and general outfitting. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is consistently well stocked. It is a reliable place to gear up for just about any outdoor trip.

  Lee has gone above and beyond the last 2 times I’ve been in once while we where doing paperwork for a firearm and then today where he was able to pull my stripped screw for my optic and get me mounted and sighted in! He’s an amazing employee and I will looking for him every time I come in for here on out

  Ordered a winchester wildcat on their website. Their website says SR, as well as a staff member confirming supressor-ready at the bottom in comments (picture attached because the manager said she needed to delete it, despite it being there since 2023). I did not get a refund nor the ability to exchange because I had already left the building with the gun, and was told that they can't be responsible for staff members posting incorrect comments on the website. While I understand not being able to exchange after leaving the store, I felt reimbursement was an acceptable outcome. Instead I was only offered a $50 store credit and was actually blamed for following the incorrect staff advice (luckily this should make filing a bank claim extremely easy). Most everyone seemed nice, just really disappointed no one could make it right. Obviously it wasn't smart of me to leave without checking, but being new to the hobby, I just didn't know. I relied on Sportsman's and that was my mistake. For anyone who chooses to buy from this establishment in the future, please just triple-check you got EXACTLY what you thought you had ordered before you leave the store.
