  Beautiful store, but unfortunately I won’t be back. This was my first time visiting after living in the area for several years. My fiancée and I came in looking to shop for items for our vacation home, and from the moment we walked in, the gentleman working the counter made us feel unwelcome. He barely acknowledged us, gave short one-word answers, and had a noticeably dismissive attitude. It was uncomfortable enough that my fiancée immediately noticed it as well. The contrast was especially apparent when he was warm, friendly, and conversational with another customer and her dogs while treating us as though we were an inconvenience. I left feeling judged and profiled based on my appearance rather than treated like a potential customer. I have tattoos, but appearances can be deceiving. I was actively shopping for high-end pieces and fully prepared to spend a significant amount of money in the store. What disappointed me most is that this wasn’t an isolated impression. After mentioning the experience to a friend who shops downtown regularly, she told me she had stopped visiting this store after experiencing similar treatment. The store itself is beautiful, but customer service matters. No one should leave a business feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, or looked down upon.

  Well the store is lovely and has wonderful products. However, if you don't look like you have the money to shop, don't bother. I visited the store for the first time and found a nice Peppermill I wanted to buy, to replace an antique I have. But, after standing at the counter with my product for 5 minutes, and seeing the staff look at me, but look past me, since they had wealthy women near them, I was promptly ignored. I gave up and will order the Peppermill from Kitchen Kaboodle in Portland, Oregon because I know they will ship it and won't ignore me. Pays to look like you have money apparently. As you can see I was contacted by the store owner. My experience wasn't awesome, but I would like to believe it was an accident. No I am not taking the Peppermill :)

  All the Best Olympia has to offer for home furnishings, kitchen wares and holidays. So many beautiful things, excellently arranged. Customer service is top-notch.
