Alderwood is easily one of the best retail destinations in the area, striking a perfect balance between a traditional enclosed shopping center and an open-air lifestyle village. The layout is incredibly spacious, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to navigate even on busy weekend afternoons. The outdoor Village area offers a great ambiance with plenty of seating, fire pits, and excellent dining options if you need a breather between stores.
What really makes this mall a regular stop for me is the excellent lineup of premium athletic and activewear. The Lululemon location here is fantastic and well-staffed—they are consistently well-stocked with the latest seasonal drops, making it incredibly easy to drop in and check the fit, stretch, and feel of new fabrics in person rather than guessing online. Furthermore, if you are hunting for specific performance footwear, the anchor stores like Nordstrom usually carry a highly curated rotation of popular runners. It is a great spot to try on newer models of the Cloudtilt or Bondi without having to venture all the way down to a dedicated flagship store.
Parking is generally plentiful, though the surface lots closest to the AMC theater and the food court can bottleneck quickly, so I usually aim straight for the parking garages. Whether you're dropping by for a targeted trip to update your training wardrobe or spending the whole day browsing and grabbing a meal, the mall consistently delivers a top-tier, low-stress experience. Highly recommended!
