  Like any average Jcpenny store. My only problem is the beauty section that used to be sephora. The skinny hispanic young lady that was working between 4pm-5pm Saturday 6-6-26 felt the need to purposely intimidate & stand very few feet away eyeballing me while I was test spraying fragrances ( yes she did recommend a few options beforehand) but she should have gave me space to shop in peace. Mind you there was only ONE other customer in the beauty department on a Saturday afternoon. Your losing money and customers by doing that, but I'm going to assume she does this with minority customers only, funny thing is SHE IS ONE HERSELF!! Stop targeting people like yourself & assuming every minority that walks in is a thief !!! Because it makes you look ugly on the inside. Customer service is really going down the damn drain sadly. I hope stores like this in shopping malls actually start shutting down more because of this crap. Victoria's secret was the complete opposite & they know people love shopping there, at least they eventually give people space to shop and aren't breathing down thier necks. If people wanna back her up by saying oh " she's just doing her job" OR Jcpenny requires & wants her to laser eyeball people from a short distance while browsing that's pretty horrible still no matter what!!! Especially if she's standing by a company like that, leaves a horrible first impression in that department & Jcpenny overall.

  I placed an order for a curbside pickup, after 20 minutes of waiting—I called them—they answered and said that they would send someone. After 45 minutes they cancelled my curbside pickup and of course, I had to go get it myself since I drove 20 minutes just to get my item…so my question is—Why would they offer a service if their not willing to met expectations and take care of.

  Usually going to try on clothes at the store with my mom is an absolute pain and takes 50 bajillion hours so when I went into the store today I was prepared for suffering. However, today the experience was quick and painless due to the excellent customer service skills of shatha in the suit department and Cindy at the return counter. Shatha helped me find the right dress pants despite my being a difficult size and not being the only customer and she made the trip fast and easy. I didn’t catch the names of the two people on the check out counter by the suits department but they were also amazing and friendly. When we went to do returns, Cindy made them go by really quickly despite being tired and near the end of her shift. I am very impressed by the employees at this store.

  I’ve shopped at this store for over 30 years, and yesterday I saw something I’ve never seen in any retail store anywhere. The store manager was personally walking the entire building, handing flowers to women, wishing every mother a Happy Mother’s Day, not just employees, but customers too. It stopped me in my tracks because managers usually stay in offices or rush by. This man took the time to stop, smile, talk, and make people feel seen. A few of us actually asked who he was because we couldn’t believe it, and they told us he was the Manager. That made it even more impressive. To see the actual leader of a store out there doing something so thoughtful and genuine was honestly refreshing. You could tell it wasn’t for attention. He was incredibly polite, warm, and just naturally kind with a southern accent that will melt your heart.The way he carried himself was calm and respectful, and yes, several of us said the same thing, he was very easy on the eyes too. Very handsome. In a world where customer service feels rushed and impersonal, this was different. It felt human. It felt real. And it says a lot about the kind of person leading that store. That small gesture made a lasting impression. I’ll remember it for a long time.
