Today, my daughter and I visited the Vans store, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience.
We were planning to purchase shorts and shoes, but we ended up leaving without buying anything because of how rude and unfriendly the staff were. When my minor daughter went to the fitting room, I tried to accompany her, as any parent would. Instead of listening when I explained that she is my daughter and a minor, a staff member rudely told me to go back and stand behind the line. They didn’t even give me a chance to explain the situation.
The overall attitude of the staff was unwelcoming and disrespectful. There were only a few customers in the store, and I noticed other shoppers were being treated in the same rude manner. As a result, no one seemed to make a purchase, and several customers, including us, left the store.
This was a very disappointing experience, especially from a brand we expected to provide friendly and respectful customer service. I hope management addresses the staff’s behavior so future customers are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve.(Date and time of visit 6/28/26
afternoon.)
As someone who also works in retail: yall need to train your team to not be so dismissive and lazy.
Frankly I think im done with Vans, between this and a bad experience in the past ill just take my business elsewhere because its hard to look at yalls shoes without association to this.

Good selection of products but bad selection of staff.
In response to Devon from Vans:
My family and I visited this location on May 10th. While the experience started off well, it quickly soured due to the behavior of the staff. After one team member escorted my fiancé’s brother and his wife to the back to try on clothing, other staff members began gesturing toward them and hounding them in a way that made them feel extremely uncomfortable.
It felt as though we were being profiled and monitored as if we intended to steal, despite the fact that the staff themselves had invited them to the back. Treating customers like suspects without cause is incredibly insulting. If your team cannot manage back-of-store try-ons professionally, the store should reconsider offering them altogether.

Not sure why, but this store almost never has the size I am looking for in any shoe. They seem to always be very low on almost every shoe they offer. If you want to find the shoe you want in the size you want, go somewhere else.
