  Our father passed away two years ago and our family just went through the process of selling his coin collection. It was a hard decision to sell his collection and we went to Vermont Coin & Jewelry in South Burlington. The collection wasn't huge but it had a lot of sentimental value and we had never sold coins before so it was all new to us. Rebecca was very kind, not pushy and very willing to take a look at what we had, with no appointment. The whole team got to work evaluating the collection and they came up with a preliminary appraisal. We came back a week later for a full appraisal and left that day with a check! We would recommend Vermont Coin & Jewelry highly for anyone looking to buy or sell coins, jewelry, etc. They are very professional and and we would work with them again !

  I walked in acting like an uninformed seller just to see how they handled the transaction. The staff was dismissive, and the offer on my 90% constitutional silver came in at 35x face value. After calling around, I found another local buyer offering 48x face the same day. That difference worked out to nearly $200 less on a relatively small transaction. I understand dealers need margin, and I wasn’t expecting full melt value, but a spread that large felt excessive compared to current market buy rates. The repeated explanations about refinery costs and holding inventory didn’t line up with what other nearby buyers were offering. I’d strongly recommend getting multiple quotes before selling here, especially if you’re unfamiliar with current silver pricing.

  I recently had an excellent experience with Vermont Coin & Jewelry. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all my questions. They took the time to explain different options clearly and made sure I felt comfortable with my decisions. Their selection of coins and jewelry is impressive, and everything is clearly high quality and well curated. Pricing felt fair and transparent, with no pressure at any point—just honest, professional service.

  I had a lump of 18k gold, they offered me 50 dollars, went to martins coin and jewelry.. owner weighed it, tested it for quality and offered me 250.. this shop will without question rip you off..this is not a sugar coated post… this establishment will without question rip you off
