  WARNING: YOU COULD END UP DEALING WITH POLICE JUST FOR ASKING FOR GLASSES YOU ALREADY PAID FOR AT SUNGLASS HUT! On October 2, I accompanied a friend to pick up Oakley Meta glasses he had purchased more than two months ago as part of a $2,000+ purchase. He had originally tried to return them, but was told to leave them at the store for the manager’s approval. After a month with no response, he contacted manager Cortney Avigad, who said the employee who had taken the glasses no longer worked there and that, as an “exception,” the return would be processed. When we went to the store, however, they could not find the glasses and sent us to another Sunglass Hut location in the same Williamsburg mall. There, Caleb told us he knew nothing about the situation and repeatedly told us to come back the next day when Cortney would be there. We explained that we had driven 1 hour and 20 minutes just to pick up the glasses and that they had already been paid for—approximately $515. Another employee, Carter (Li), repeated the same response. When we said we were not leaving without the glasses we had already paid for, they told us to leave and called mall security. Kendal from Galaxy Security arrived and immediately ordered us out without even hearing our side. When we refused to leave without our paid merchandise, they called the police. The officer questioned me, ordered me to remove my hands from my pockets, demanded my ID, and said someone had reported a problem and provided my description. After hearing our explanation, the police determined there was no crime and apologized. While the police were still there, Cortney suddenly contacted the employees and gave them instructions. We returned to the other store, the issue was finally resolved, and the glasses were handed over. Cortney apologized, but the humiliation of being questioned by police in front of other customers like a criminal is something I will never forget. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will NEVER shop at SUNGLASS HUT again.

  Cortney helped me and fixed my glasses. She treated me with so much kindness and a very welcoming attitude. Honestly, because of her great service and the way she treated me, I really liked the store, and that is what made me decide to buy the glasses.

  Caleb was professional, attentive and listened to what I preferred. Great job suggestion an additional pair of Oakley's that were on sale. Based on my needs the second pair was a perfect addition based on activities we do.
