  I lost my cross strut to this beautiful unicorn kite. I used a wooden dowel rod as a substitute. Then I thought Kitty Hawk Kites Virginia Beach is 20 minutes from Norfolk. I need to go there. Chris is amazing. He went beyond the call of duty to fix my kite. I'm glad to spend money on kites there. The grands AND I loved it.

  Fixed my husband's broken kite for no charge! Didn't think anyone still did that kind of thing and was prepared to pay for replacement part then do a DIY fix, so this was a *delightful* surprise. 10/10 recommend!

  Would love to rate higher, but I drove all the way from Yorktown to get a spider kites bol after being told they carry them at the location, .....which they do,..... but only in the largest most expensive $150 version. That's an important caveat you should mention when you're advertising... When you plan on spending $60 for the entry level version because you've never ever seen it in action personally, it's a little disappointing. Thankfully it wasn't a wasted trip because of the kite festival that happened to be going on the same day. Good selection of kites and a wide variety of other stuff, roughly the same price as online. If you're in the area, swing by and spend your money locally. If you're on the peninsula,....🤷‍♂️ idk, maybe call them to make sure the EXACT item you're looking for is there. I hope i can change my review one day, the store in kitty hawk is 5 stars for sure 🤘😎🤘

  We are locals and visit this store often as a reward for my son's good grades. Maria is always very knowledgeable about the inventory and helps my son to find exactly what he is looking for. She also recommends new products that he has not seen yet and he always loves them. She is very kind and patient with us while we shop. I have also been fortunate enough to find new skincare products for the Summer to help with my rosacea. My face is very sensitive to sun and Maria showed me several products that do not irritate or burn my skin.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I drove an hour and a half from North Carolina after calling the night before to have items put on hold. I specifically explained how far I was traveling, and was assured they would be held for me. When I arrived, I was told the items had been sold to other customers. The manager/owner chose to sell them despite knowing I was on my way. This is incredibly unprofessional and a complete lack of respect for a customer’s time. If you tell someone you will hold something, you should honor that…especially when they are traveling that far.
