  Marinna was excellent she was extremely helpful. I find it ridiculous that it's only 3 stars here. It's 5/5 no question wonderful staff highly recommend this store! Shoutout Marinna she's awesome!

  Wow - did not expect to see the low stars because I had a wonderful experience here, which was the exact contrast to my experience as the Old Town Alexandria store location. I was greeted by multiple sales associates. They were patient and kind and helpful and even gave a birthday gift. I thought the brand was the issue but it really depends on the location- they really need to be more consistent because crappy customer service at any location can affect their overall brand image regardless. Take note Alexandria.

  I had a very disappointing experience at the ALO store today regarding a return. I visited the store around 1:40 p.m. on May 28th 2026 to return one item out of four pieces I purchased about two weeks ago. The item simply wasn’t the right color for me and was otherwise in excellent condition. The associate assisting me — a girl with blue-dyed hair — inspected the item and said it was “damaged” because there was a tiny amount of foundation powder transfer near the neckline from trying it on. She repeatedly used the word “damaged” and refused both a return and exchange under store policy. What frustrated me most was the complete lack of understanding or reasonable customer service. Clothing naturally gets tried on — both at home and in-store. I even asked whether customers are forced to purchase items if makeup transfer happens in fitting rooms, and instead of addressing the concern with empathy, I was told that because I “bought it and damaged it,” there was nothing they could do. I mentioned I may need to dispute the charge through my credit card company since no resolution was being offered, and I was then told that doing so could result in being “divorced” from their system and unable to shop with ALO again. That response felt unnecessarily aggressive and customer-unfriendly. I understand stores need policies, but the way this situation was handled lacked professionalism, flexibility, and basic compassion. Very disappointing experience for a brand at this price point.

  Staff is very rude. Unprofessional and not friendly for a brand like alo. I expected the bare minimum! Left the store immediately!!
