  I can usually find some real diamonds in the rough here! Unfortunately, over the years, the customer service is reduced to most average retail shops. They used to ask your size in the dressing room, make suggestions, and bring you inspired pieces to try. This week they have an additional 40% off selected clearance. I made sure to only shop the rack with those specific signs, but was still told at checkout that 3/4 of my items didn't qualify, so that was some wasted time trying on ineligible items. Honestly though, I usually still manage to find a lot of good pieces.

  Love the clothes and the sales and the employees are legitimately nice people! Just gets a little disorganized and you have to really hunt things down and search for things. But it’s an outlet so keep that in mind. The people who work there make it worth while.

  I have been a Nordstrom Rack customer for many years, and unfortunately, this was the first time I left the store genuinely disappointed. I found a pair of shoes that I liked, but after looking at them more closely, I noticed visible scratches on them. I asked an employee in the shoe department if she could check whether they had another pair without the scratches. She checked and told me they did not have another pair, but said that someone at the register could help me place an online order for a new pair. When I went to the register, I was surprised to be told that they could not help me place the online order and that I would have to do it myself. The employee said they could only provide me with the item number. This was the first time I have ever been in a store where an employee refused to assist with placing an online order. I also asked if they could offer any small discount or accommodation since the only pair available had visible defects. That request was also refused. Maybe I should have asked to speak with a manager, but at that point I simply purchased the shoes with the defect and left feeling very disappointed—not because the shoes had scratches, but because of the lack of willingness to help and the way the situation was handled. As a long-time Nordstrom Rack customer, I expected a much better level of customer service.
