Very disappointing experience at Plato’s Closet. I brought in a box of clothes expecting them to at least properly look through the items and decide what they were interested in buying. Instead, it felt like my clothes were barely even looked at before I was told they didn’t want anything. What bothered me even more was the attitude and the explanations I was given. The staff came across as rude and dismissive, and the reasons they gave for not accepting anything didn’t make much sense to me. I understand that Plato’s Closet is selective and they’re not required to buy everything—or anything—that someone brings in, but I still expect the items to be properly considered and customers to be treated respectfully. I left feeling like bringing my clothes here was a complete waste of time. Even if you don’t want to purchase someone’s items, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate that. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

What gives zero stars if possible do not come here if you’re trying to sell your clothes, they never wanna buy anything. They always say they’re looking for what you bring in and then they don’t want it and then they always tell you that they’re being super selective they’re always super selective for some reason then what do you guys actually take if you never buy anything but you’re super selective only I would let me guess you only want designer brand, Gucci and Prada and stuff like that huh? Do not sell your clothes here they will not buy anything and then they’ll tell you oh it’s just not what we’re looking for right now even though they’ll literally have a list of what you’re trying to sell and then they’ll try to tell you that it’s not what they’re looking for horrible do not go here go anywhere else in the world other than this location Will never return to this location for anything would rather go to any other store in the universe than this location

The store is decent, but their "loss prevention" policies are basically treating every customer like a criminal..... 2-piece sets attached by a tag... Not allowed to bring shoes into the dressing room??? Even though there was no one else in the store??? As a matter of policy I always give 2 stars or lower when the business treats me like a criminal.

Very picky about what clothing they accept, I had name brand hoodies, Jordans, and Levi jeans, they took NOTHING. Said they were “too worn”, except my son barely wore them at all. Do not recommend this place at all.

Soooo I'm genuinely not one to get offended by a store not taking my items, but the little girl at the counter literally looked at the shoes I brought in and said they were, "too casual..." They were my mother's and she is literally the snobbiest person I know. She was cleaning out her closet and I thought someone might've like these fancy shoes 😂 There were LOADS of T-shirts around and people selling stuff in their pajamas and these shoes were too casual...? Whoever the manager is should genuinely teach their reps how to decline someone in a more intelligent way. You could've just told me they were of an older demographic 😂 but what would I know. I'm too casual for Plato's Closet!!! Side note: spouse went in after to see if they would sell to a different looking person. Spouse said they definitely got the "we don't service your kind here, poor" attitude.
