- DWDane WadeSep 23, 20221.0Scheduled a 9am appointment for installation with a 1hour install time advised by the scheduler. I show up early and speak with a very nice worker there. Pull into a dirty shop/office area and find out the install actually takes roughly 4 hours. The tech/manager had never worked on the make of my car either and would have to watch a video on the install. There was one person working and multiple appointments booked at the same time(the other was for calibration). The other person there asked to use the restroom and was advised that the toilet doesn't work and he would have to take a bucket of water in to flush. While the employee was extremely nice the facility and organization of the company left a lot to be desired. Switching installation to a different company that is actually less money and seems more organized. Proceed with caution.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
