Always happy at Bass Pro! Their fall classic hunting sale was awesome so I was able to get a good selection of hunting clothes for my son and me. Everyone was friendly without being annoying. For a while in the past you couldn't walk five feet without someone soliciting a product or otherwise bugging you, so I had quit going to the stores. But this visit was awesome and I will start visiting the store again! <--also dangerous because then I want to buy everything. Thanks for the good experience!

I feel some kind of way about this place but I can't put my finger on what it is. Lots of experience stuff. Maybe it's the setup.

I went back and forth about writing this review because my experience started off extremely frustrating but ended on a very positive note. This was my first firearm purchase at Bass Pro Shops. I came in with a trade-in and immediately received conflicting instructions about how the trade-in should be handled. Once at the firearms counter, I also received conflicting information from multiple employees regarding Virginia firearm laws and trade-in requirements. Eventually, another manager became involved, confirmed everything was fine, and we were able to proceed. My other concern was professionalism. While I was completing my paperwork, several employees and a manager were having an inappropriate sexual conversation within earshot of customers. There’s a time and place for everything, and the firearms counter definitely wasn’t it. Thankfully, the manager who completed my transaction completely turned the experience around. He was professional, understanding, and genuinely seemed to care about my experience. He even gave me a discount without me asking. I’m still giving 5 stars because I received exactly what I wanted and the situation was ultimately handled well. However, I think this location could benefit from better employee training, consistency regarding firearm laws and procedures, and stronger standards of professionalism. I’m not sure I would return for another firearm purchase, but the store itself is great, has a huge selection, and is basically a one-stop shop.

Minus two stars because the shooting gallery is ALWAYS broken and it is usually meant to be the highlight of our trip. There was a short 3 weeks it was mostly working last year, though I’ve never seen all the elements working at the same time. Otherwise, we love this place.

Been coming here all my life. Last time we came in, 8/16/26, the sales associates countlessly bombard me and my wife to sell us vacations or to sign up for the rewards club to get an immediate discount.. in short words it means “sign up for our Credit Card”. Using the cold sale tactic to prey on people like my wife who clearly has no idea what their motive is. She thought they are just being extra nice. Bad look Bass Pro. Maybe you have to dress like you’re poor so they won’t approach you. To be able to peacefully shop without having to worry about getting ran up on by salesman would be ideal. I would assume that most of the general public would appreciate it if they could shop in peace as well. Revaluation on sales tactics should be addressed.
