  I needed a battery replaced in my Movado watch and this was the only place in Charlottesville VA that could do it for me. Great service and replaced it quickly with a warranty on the battery!

  DO NOT come here with fine watches. Completely untrustworthy and just wants your money and to try and see if they can do what they promise. Damaged my brand new watch and claimed I had been warned when I obviously had not been because if I had I would’ve taken it somewhere else. Do not come here and do not recommend it. To add insult to injury the woman told me she would have “loved to take my money” well I would have loved to give it to her! I wanted a service to be done and was willing to pay for it, that was never part of the issue. I felt completely insulted and uncared for, I truly never want to go back. So rude!!!!!

  Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience here. Do not bring any Cartier watches. I had to wait over a week for a sizing that was never completed. It is not an impossible task and it was a brand new watch: I was not informed that this could possibly scratch my watch and was told that it “should be expected” which I find to be completely unprofessional. If I had known this was ever a possibility I would have gone back to Cartier as was suggested to me only after I went to pick up my watch. Not coming back and not recommending this to any one.

  I have taken two heirloom necklaces to Tuel jewelers for repair. The first was a very complicated and fragile seed-pearl necklace that needed complete restringing. I was very anxious that it be done right and with great care as it had been given to my great-great-grandmother on her wedding day over 150 years before and worn by 11 related brides over the years since. Mary said she could do the restringing and I am so glad I trusted her as the end result was beyond perfect. Similary, the second necklace -- which was comprised of lapis lazuli, silver and seed pearls -- was expertly repaired by Mary. I cannot recommend her combination of extraordinary skill and caring highly enough. She is a gem and Tuel is the place to go for heirloom jewelry repair.
