I've never seen a store like this in my life. I don't think there was a sport that was not represented. There was something here for every member of the family and the sales staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. This is the sports store of all sports stores.

Biggest shoutout to Cole for helping us find a bag!
We placed an online order for a bag that wasn’t in stock but we needed ASAP for a flight the next day.
Cole went above and beyond to guide us around the store and show us options for replacements. I’ve never been to Scheel’s before but will gladly go out of my to Scheel’s for their gracious service.

If you're anywhere near Dallas, Scheels in The Colony is well worth a visit, even if you don't plan on buying anything. Calling it a sporting goods store doesn't really do it justice—it's more like a huge attraction with a shop built around it. The selection is incredible, covering everything from hiking, camping and fishing to golf, fitness, hunting, cycling and team sports. There are loads of top brands, plus a massive range of clothing, footwear and outdoor gear. What really makes it stand out are the attractions inside. The indoor Ferris wheel is a brilliant centrepiece, there's a huge aquarium, interactive displays and even an arcade, so it's just as enjoyable for families as it is for serious sports enthusiasts. We also stopped at the café, which was a nice place to recharge before carrying on around the store. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions without being pushy. The whole place is spotless, well laid out and surprisingly easy to navigate despite its size. It's one of those stores where you end up spending far longer than you expected because there's always something else to see. Whether you're after outdoor equipment, new trainers, gifts or just somewhere different to visit, Scheels is a fantastic experience and easily one of the best retail stores I've been to. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Stopped in on Saturday afternoon to purchase Pokemon Trading Cards.
Cam H. and Rob S. were very helpful throughout the process of getting the cards, and let us know that we were able to use one of the empty boxes to carry our cards around the store as we continued to shop. Once we were ready to check out, we proceeded to a register to pay for our items.
The cashier at the register (Knoxx?) was very unfriendly and did not acknowledge us when I said hello and set our things down. He proceeded to throw our items all over the counter, and counted to make sure we did not go over the per person limit. He then scanned the box we used to carry the cards around the store, but since the box was not full, I asked him to please just scan the packs themselves, since the box would have been about $100 more expensive (and was NOT full). He got snappy and told us that we had the box, so why shouldn’t he scan that? I explained that the box wasn’t full, and the prices would differ by a large amount, and asked again for him to please scan the packs instead of the box. He sighed and did as I requested, and I thanked him for doing so and he did not acknowledge it.
Once everything was scanned, I paid for the product, and waited for the cashier to bag my items. He asked me for a phone number, and I began telling him, and he snapped at me to type it in on the keypad because he had to make a call. He called a manager over to the register, and told the manager that we made him scan the packs instead of the box and questioned if we were correct. The manager said yes, because the box was not full, the packs needed to be scanned individually. I thanked the manager and the cashier got a bag and put our items in it and turned away from us without saying anything else.
The attitude we received from this cashier was not appropriate, and was not appreciated. An interaction that should have taken 2 minutes, turned into a 10 minute ordeal, where we were treated poorly for not wanting to overpay by $100 on our purchase. There was no greeting when we walked up, no “have a good day”, no respect at all.
Cam and Rob get 5 stars, but this interaction definitely ruined the shopping experience for us.
