  I don't do a lot of shopping, but this experience really showed me why brick and mortar stores are loosing out to the internet. Wanted an inexpensive pair of casual shoes for an upcoming family event. About 11am, went in and had to find someone to ask where the men's shoes were located. After about 4 minutes, finally found an employee at a return counter and was directed upstairs to the men's department. Selection was limited at best and the ones they had on display had only a handful of sizes to choose from. Some of the sale items were still on the carts from the storage room. I found a pair I liked but not in my size, a 10. Looked for a sales person to see if they had any in the back. There were about 12 to 15 customers walking around the second floor in the various departments. The 4 cash register stations I saw as I walked around were all closed. Some with covers over the registers, others with a sign saying the area was closed. I asked 4 different customers if they had seen any employees. 2 were also looking for help but no one had seen any employees. I even tried to find the store room to look for myself but only found a locked door. I did find a belt I wanted but gave up on the shoes. I had to go back downstairs to find a place to pay. It ends up that Penny has gone to a payment/cashier area, located only on the first floor. You don't pay where you find the items. Of course, they don't bother telling you this or that it also means they don't have employees covering the sales floor. Like I said, it goes to show why people are buying on the internet instead of going to a store. Why bother going in if there isn't any help when you need it and it's a chore just to give your money to the store. A lot easier and just as impersonal on the internet.
