  I went in there to get some outfits for my anniversary trip this weekend. The lady helping me and I wish I could remember her name maybe Crystal I'm not sure. She helped me find a pair of jeans that I really liked and then she gave me a second pair to try on which weren't even my size so clearly I wasn't going to get those. When I went to check out I gave the jeans that I did not want back and said these are the ones that I want and when I got home I realized that the lady checking me out gave me the wrong jeans. I called and said hey I was just in there you guys were helping me I had a anniversary trip planned and I got the wrong pair of jeans can you put the correct pair at the register and I'm on my way back. She said oh yeah sure I remember you. But then when I got there she was busy trying on clothes in the fitting room and she didn't have time to come out and help me. When she did come out she said oh I don't know what jeans you're talking about. And then she left for the day. She was no help at all. I returned the jeans that I did not want. And left with nothing. If you shop here I would make sure before you leave that you have everything you want in your bag. Because if you don't and you go back, they don't care to help you at all !!

  After a rude experience at Lane Bryant I walked up the side walk and went to Maurice's. Was greeted with a smile and they had a great sale going on with affordable prices. Nice selection of Plus size clothes and accessories!

  So, shopping gives me anxiety because most employees look like they fighting demons. The ladies who work at Maurices made my shopping experience wonderful today. I just want to shout out how helpful, friendly, informational, personable, and just their smiles. They are amazing!! It almost felt like I walked into the 90s/early 2000s again when the people cared about their shoppers. I usually cop and split as soon as I find what I'm looking for because it's so uncomfortable going out in public nowadays. Anyways, thank yoou for making my day!!

  Absolutely heartbroken by my experience in the store today. As soon as I walked in a woman I believe her name is Jessica, she is an older woman with brown hair approached me and her comments completely ruined my experience and honestly my day. She approached me and immediately directed me to the plus size section. She then continued talking about the store and continuously directed me to the plus sizes. I never asked her about the store sizes and by the look on my face she should have known to stop and leave me be. I was so uncomfortable I left immediately without even having a chance to look around. This felt like an experience you see only in movies, it baffles me that someone working in customer service will actually act this way. It can be challenging enough for so many people to even step into a clothing store and comments like this make it so much worse. Maurices please do better and train your staff to be better people and actually have empathy when working with the public. This was my first time at the establishment, I also just moved to town and was excited to find places to frequent and I am truly disappointed to have had this experience my first time ever stepping foot into the store. I am sure she has done this to other people as the store was empty. Jessica please try and be a nicer person and understand the damage your words can do to others. These type of comments are essentially bullying, I didn't know the company hires people to bully potential customers.

  Today around 3-3:15pm there was an older lady with brown hair, name was maybe Jessica (however looking through the stores Instagram most likely was), who kept directing my friend to the plus sized section, even though she isn't plus sized, and made her very uncomfortable and upset. That is absolutely not how you should treat any customer regardless, coming from someone who has worked retail and is a decent human being. Her comment was unprovoked and she crushed my friends spirit when she was excited to go shopping, hoping to find new clothes, which can be really hard for some people to do when they have to worry about judgment. People should feel comfortable in the store and not immediately judged when walking in. Some people have a hard time shopping, especially clothes shopping due to anxiety, comments like that make it worse. Do better.
